.sc.ke: schools
For pre-primary, primary and secondary schools, and many technical and vocational institutions. Registrars ask for proof that the school is registered, such as a Ministry of Education registration certificate.
.ac.ke: colleges and universities
For universities, university colleges and accredited tertiary colleges. Registrars ask for accreditation documents, for example from the Commission for University Education or TVETA.
Both are managed by KeNIC, the Kenya Network Information Centre, and sold through accredited registrars. Find a registrar on kenic.or.ke. Once your site is live, schools.ke picks it up from the registry and you can claim it.
